Research results elaborated at a legal and licensing event

Björn Lundell and Andrew Katz presented and elaborated research results in Barcelona on 26 April 2017. The presentation contained an overview of current practice in public procurement, which shows how references to standards inhibit competition and discriminate against free and open source software. Specifically, challenges concerning how file format standards can create barriers for competition and inhibit implementation in open source software were elaborated and included issues addressed in a previously published study, see:
